We are gathering articles about Court, whether you worked , delivered, visited or played there, please let us know.
In 2008, the Friends of Court Farm applied for an ‘Awards for All Wales’ lottery grant. We were successful in our application and are very grateful to the Lottery Fund.
The grant of £4,954 allowed us to buy film, sound equipment, and editing software. This equipment was use to film and record memories of those who lived and worked at Court, Pembrey
The audio-visual record will be available to all local schools, libraries, community and visitor centres and the information we gathered will be used in book that is currently being written about Court .
Local members of the community were able to participate, including the village school who have an active interest in the history of this building and its role within the community during the various periods in history that they study. Often visual history makes more memorable impact. The material will be an important educational archive resource
The electronic format facilitates delivery of the data though multiple paths, e.g. tape, DVD, internet or other digital delivery systems.
As part of the wider project the AV history will be available for those who cannot access the written biography.
As custodians, we as the Friends are, in keeping with our constitution, collecting to make accessible, transcripts of documents and publications relating the Court Farm and promote the preservation of documents and records relating to Court Farm
For those of you with memories of Court Farm - we would really like to hear from you. wether they are your own or have been passed down to you.
