As you know, over the past weeks the pupils at Glan y Mor School have been busy making our table.

Around the Table at Court

They have kept us informed of their progress and we are pleased to report that we took delivery of the table on Thursday 18th July – just before the end of the term!

Mr Edwards had organised the delivery of the table courtesy of the Youth Services. It was brought up in two pieces as it was too large and heavy to be transported in one – even then it took a very large trailer.

It was an extremely warm day, just the kind of day for sitting in the sun, but the boys started work straight away. They looked very professional in their work aprons.

It didn't take them long under the supervision of Mr Edwards and Mr Banner to put it all together and secure into place on the hard standing. It looked very smart.Then it was lunch time and we all sat around our new table. Loads of cake was also the order of the day.
We are very grateful to all concerned at Glan y Mor. We know they enjoyed the build and are keen to take on another project next year – perhaps we will get them to build us a new roof for Court!!

The table was well and truly christened when, the following Sunday , the Friends of Penllergare were the first to have their tea around it. They were duly impressed.

This table will be invaluable, it has already been used for meetings and discussions and is very democratic – so we have a round table at Court.
So Sean, Scott, Nathaniel, Daniel , Callum and Jordan [not forgetting Mr Edwards and Mr Banner] – thank you so much for building our table – you are now Honorary Members of the Friends of Court Farm.
